Senior Mechanical Construction Executive

Pay: $155,000 - $175,000 DOE

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Construction Executive to oversee large-scale, technically complex construction projects from planning through final turnover. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with extensive experience directing mechanical scopes within mission-critical, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and institutional environments. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between operations, clients, field teams, and executive leadership while ensuring project excellence, financial performance, and operational efficiency.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing mechanical construction projects.
  • 5+ years leading large commercial or industrial construction programs.
  • Strong background in budgeting, preconstruction planning, value engineering, and design collaboration.
  • Proven track record managing projects valued between $20M and $250M.
  • Experience supporting projects within healthcare facilities, life sciences, higher education, advanced technology, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with occupied renovation environments and critical infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Technology & Systems Knowledge

Experience utilizing project management and construction software, including:

  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Procore
  • Viewpoint Vista
  • Bluebeam Revu

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction and estimating support through commissioning and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Direct project teams to ensure milestones, safety objectives, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Partner with design consultants, owners, and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Monitor labor performance, productivity metrics, and workforce planning.
  • Manage contract administration, change management, procurement activities, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and maintain accountability for project profitability and cash flow.
  • Mentor project managers, engineers, and support staff while promoting professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunities.
